Filming is set to begin in Windsor, ON next month on Gavin Michael Booth’s new feature Last Call.
Co-written and produced by Booth (The Scarehouse) and Daved Wilkins (Florasoul), the film follows a suicidal man (played by Wilkins) and a woman who tries to save his life.
Two camera crews will film a single 90-minute take on different sides of the city to achieve a real-time split screen effect.
Booth will direct the feature, which also stars his wife Sarah Booth (21 Thunder).
Booth made his feature directorial debut in 2014 with the sorority-horror flick The Scarehouse. Produced with funding through Telefilm’s Canada Feature Film Fund, The Scarehouse was distributed in Canada by D Films and in the U.S. by NBCUniversal. Toronto’s Double Dutch took international sales rights to the movie, which won best feature at the NYC Horror Film Festival in 2014.
